INTRO TO CTS

The first time having a CTS course in IDA.
Not just having CTS for the first time. It’s the first time having a course at all with the class. Meeting each other, learning from each other & having some short introductions to each other.

CTS = Contextual & Theoretical Studies

What is CTS?
– Space to study history
– Space to question, discuss, write and learn
– Integrating theory into your creative practice is important (praxis)
– Develop your academic research, thinking and writing skills

How we will work together
– Empathetic: putting ourselves in others shoes
– Curious: suspending judgement, giving things a try
– Inclusive: respecting that every voice counts
– Creative: imaginative and divergent thinking
– Vulnerable: willingness to un-know and unassume
